IMPORTANT - Waiver and Release Information

Annual Waiver (Applies to players reserving programs & open time court bookings)

  • All players with NTC profiles are required sign the Annual Waiver in order to complete registration for programs and/or court bookings.

    • ADULTS 18 and older - Must complete the waiver for themselves.

    • JUNIORS under 18 - Only the primary account holder can sign the waiver on behalf of the junior player.

  • If you have NOT signed the waiver and release in the past 12 months, you will be prompted to do so upon logging in to your NTC profile.

Print & Sign Single Use Daily Waiver (does NOT apply to program registrants & open time court bookings)

  • Applies to tournament players and single day event participants that do not have NTC profiles.

    • ADULTS 18 and older - Must complete the daily waiver for themselves.

    • JUNIORS under 18 - A parent or legal guardian must complete a daily waiver containing the names of both the child and parent/guardian.

  • Once completed, you will receive an email confirmation. This must be presented to our front desk staff upon arrival with your government issued photo ID.

All players with court reservations and program registrants must fill out a WAIVER & RELEASE (W & R) prior to on-court play. All players and guests must present a government issued photo ID upon arrival.

Please note: East Gate Grill lunch orders are taken daily upon arrival. Please ensure camper has exact amount for payment.

10 and Under Camps:

(Ages: 5 - 10)

Half-Day: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Full-day: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

10 and Under camps are open to Red, Orange, Green Pathway students.

Junior, Academy, and Feed the Feeder Camps:

Full-day Camps: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

PM Mini-Camps: 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Junior Camps: Beginner - Intermediate players

Transition Pathway open to players with the following NTC ratings:

  • Academy Teens

  • Academy Teens Plus

  • Feed the Feeder

High-Performance Camps:

Full-day Camps: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • Only online registration accepted, no drop-ins and no walk-ins accepted.

  • By registering for NTC Camps, you agree to NTC Programs terms and Conditions, and NTC Rules and Regulations.

  • A $25 late registration fee will apply if your camper is not registered by Thursday for the following week of camp (if space is available).

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I register my child for camp?

A: Registration is done online by visiting www.ntc.usta.com


Q: Can I cancel the registration?

A: The NTC offers four (4) seasonal sessions for tennis programs year-round. These include Fall (Sept. - Jan.); Winter (Jan. - April); Spring (April - June); and Summer/Camp (June - Aug.) Per our terms and conditions, a student can receive a refund no less than 30 days in advance of the camp session start date, not the student's camp week. There will be no refunds/credits for any missed portion, days or weeks for summer camp after the deadline.


Q: My child doesn’t have a NTC Rating. Can I still register for camp?

A: Yes. Our instructors evaluate campers on the first day of each camp week and place campers accordingly.


Q: Is there a waiver I must sign for my child?

A: Yes. ALL campers registered must have a signed waiver on file in order to participate in the camp.


Q: What sort of activities can I expect from summer camp?

A: While tennis is the central focus of our summer camp program, campers may also participate in a variety of activities. In years past, depending on the age and group of the campers, we have held activities such as pickleball, soccer, table tennis, talent shows, arts & crafts, and many other activities.


Q: Can I drop off my child earlier than camp start-time?

A: Campers can be dropped off 15 minutes before the start of camp. Any campers who arrive before the stated arrival time will be asked to wait outside of the NTC lobby until the start of camp check-in.


Q: Can I pick up my child later than camp end-time?

A: On-court activities end at 4PM to begin the pick-up hour, which lasts from 4 PM to 5PM. For an additional fee of $100 per week, you can register for late pick-up, which lasts from 5 PM to 5:30 PM.


Q: Can I pick up my child earlier than camp end-time?

A: Yes. Prior notice in email from the parent or legal guardian must be given to the front desk. Please send an email to ntcprograms@usta.com if this applies to you.


Q: Can I have someone else pick up my child from camp?

A: Yes. Prior authorization in email from the parent or legal guardian must be given to the front desk. Please send an email to ntcprograms@usta.com if this applies to you.

Q: Is lunch available for purchase for full-day campers?

A: Yes. If purchasing lunch please see the sample prix fix menu. East Gate Grill lunch orders are taken daily upon arrival. Please ensure camper has exact change for payment. If you pack lunch, please keep it in a cooler with an ice-pack.


Q: Are snacks available for purchase?

A: Yes. Although the NTC has several cash and card vending machines, we recommend campers pack healthy snacks on a daily basis.


Q: Is Camp indoor or outdoor?

A: Camps are held both indoor and outdoor on the Field Courts, weather permitting.


Q: What materials do I need for camp?

A: The following should be brought each day of camp:

  • Non-marking sneakers

  • Tennis racquet

  • Sunblock

  • Water bottle

  • Hand towel

  • Hat

  • Extra T-shirt

  • Name label and name tag for all belongings

  • Tennis racquet

  • Lunch and/or lunch money for on-site food options (if in full-day camp), as well as for vending machine snacks. See above for more info.


Q: What are the required certifications for NTC summer camp staff?

A: All USTA employees are required to undergo a background check before being hired and must receive SafeSport certification.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy 2022 Camps: All camp cancellations must be submitted in writing ntcprograms@usta.com and received by the programs office at least 30 days (May 20th, 2022) prior to the start of camp (June 20th) to be considered for a refund. There will be no refunds after May 20th, 2022.

Cancellation Policy 2022 Programs: All program cancellations must be submitted in writing NTCprograms@usta.com and received by the Programs Office at least 30 days prior to start of class/camp per session to be considered for a refund/credit. There will be no refunds/credits after the 30-day advance deadline date, or after the program start date. All individual program cancellations or changes will incur a $100 administrative fee per player per class/per camp-week. Checks returned by the bank will incur a $30 fee and must be replaced with cash or money order.

Make-up Policy for Programs: Please note that we do not offer make ups for missed classes. We do not offer makeups, credits, refunds, carryovers, for no-shows, same day cancellations or missed classes. We do offer the students participation in one (1) clinic during or at the end of the current session in lieu of a make up for any one (1) missed class. To qualify to be registered for this one (1) clinic per session, the notice of a student’s absence must be given in writing via email to the “NTCprograms@usta.com” mail box at least one (1) day in advance of the absence. This student will be offered participation in one (1) clinic offered during or at the end of the current session in lieu of an in-class make up (limited to 1), free of charge. Please note that we do not offer makeups or in-class make ups, credits, refunds, carryovers for missed classes, no-shows, or same day cancellations. Clinic dates are posted on session flyers and online at NTC.USTA.com.

Make-up Policy for Camps: No make ups for any missed portion, days or weeks for summer camp.

Disclaimer for Teaching Programs Enrollment: Participant recognizes the importance of following teachers and coaches instructions regarding training and other USTA NTC rules, and agrees to obey such instructions. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct is deemed by Management to be disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language, or who fails to comply with the rules, terms, and conditions applicable to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center facilities. Court locations and Teaching Pro staff assignments may and will vary during session. Terms and conditions are subject to change at Management's discretion without advanced/prior written notice.

Class/Court Schedules: Classes may be held in the Indoor Training Center on the Hard Courts, or outside on the Field Courts, weather permitting. Court locations and Pro Staff assignments may and will vary during session. Minimum of three (3) students required to start a class.

Waiver: In consideration of his/her participation in a USTA NTC program, Participant hereby acknowledges and knowingly and voluntarily assumes any and all risks of personal injury or property damages which might be associated with tennis, sports conditioning and fitness-related activities. Participant certifies he/she is in good physical condition, sufficient to use the facilities and participate in the program. Participant, on behalf of him/herself, his/her heirs and anyone acting on Participant's behalf, releases, discharges and holds harmless the USTA NTC, USTA, City of New York and their respective officers, directors, employees and representatives (collectively, Releases) from and against any and all claims arising, directly or indirectly, in connection with Participant's participation in the program or any event related thereto from any cause whatsoever, regardless of whether caused by the negligence of the Releases (the Released Claims). Participant, on behalf of him/herself, his/her heirs and anyone acting on Participant's behalf, covenants and agrees not to bring or be a party to any legal action or claim against the Releases from any reason based on any of the Released Claims.

Other: Participant understands that certain USTA NTC programs may involve field trips away from the NTC throughout the duration of the program and that Participant may participate in such field trips. Participant also understands that Participant may revoke permission for a specific trip by written notice that is to be hand delivered to the NTC’s Director of Tennis at least one day prior to the trip.

Participant hereby authorizes any medical assistance or treatment deemed necessary in the event of any injury to Participant while participating in any activity. Participant has appropriate insurance, or, if not, Participant agrees to pay all costs of medical services incurred on his or her behalf.

Participant agrees that USTA NTC and its designees may use Participant's name, voice, photographs, likenesses, biographies, testimonials and statements, and other identification for any purpose relating to USTA NTC activities and advertising and publicizing the USTA NTC and its products and services. Summer camp field trips must be registered on separate registration form and signed by parent and/or legal guardian. Seasonal camps: please refer to the cancellation policy that is listed on the appropriate seasonal camp flyer.

Participants in USTA NTC Junior Summer Camp programs also will be required to sign a separate Consent and Waiver Form.

Indoor Training Center Code of Conduct

  1. Check-in and payment is required prior to play.

  2. All players for on-court play must be checked in at front desk prior to play.

  3. A government-issued photo ID is required BEFORE entering the facility.

  4. All guests issued a Visitor Pass must wear and display it while in the facility.

  5. Please do not walk on court until designated time of play.

  6. The use of courts beyond the assigned time will be subject to charge.

  7. Cancellation of court time must be made 48 hours prior to reservation time.

  8. NTC reserves the right to cancel court time or program participation for any cause deemed appropriate at the sole discretion of NTC management.

  9. All play is at your own risk.

  10. Use of foul, abusive, offensive or inappropriate language, gestures or other conduct, and any other inappropriate behavior, with or towards other guests, players, and NTC staff will not be tolerated.

  11. Proper court etiquette is expected at all times.

  12. Proper tennis shoes must be worn on court at all times.

  13. No food or beverages (other than water) is permitted on the courts.

  14. Animals (other than service animals) are not permitted in the facility.

  15. Photography or videotaping is not permitted without express written permission from NTC management.

  16. NTC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

  17. Lockers are for day use only. Items left over night in lockers will be subject to removal.

  18. Tennis instruction may be given only by NTC professional staff.

  19. No baskets, hoppers, or carts are allowed on court unless used by NTC professional staff. Players on court may only have a maximum of 6 balls on the court during play.
